Award-winning Show Home Up For Sale at Hayfield Wood in Broad Blunsdon

March 25, 2022

Only the final three homes are now available for sale at Hayfield Wood in the Wiltshire village of Broad Blunsdon. This includes the five-bedroom monochrome show home, which scooped a prize at the WhatHouse? Awards last November.

The last three homes on the market are two four-bedroom detached Harcourt designs, priced from £595,000, and the largest at the development – the five-bedroom detached Hanwell show home, which is priced at £850,000. The spacious executive house will be sold with the luxurious carpets, decoration, landscaping and Sonos system included in the price. The furniture is also available by separate negotiation.

Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director for Hayfield said: “We have been amazed by the rate of sale at Hayfield Wood. This unique development was only launched to the market last year and all the homes have sold well in advance of the build programme. With 95% of the scheme now matched with buyers, we are excited to place our show-stopping monochrome show home onto the market.”

A bronze WhatHouse? Award for Best Interior Design was presented to Hayfield Wood for its dramatic and stunning show home. Hayfield then went on to take the top prize in the coveted Best Medium Housebuilder category, and also won Housebuilder of the Year – the biggest accolade in the new homes industry.

The WhatHouse? Judges Report for the Best Interior Design Award said: “On a village development of 70 homes with a massive tree-planting programme and a wildflower meadow, Hayfield is building the family homes of the future, with sound-proofed studies, electric car charging, and underfloor heating.

“We like the consistency of the design language, from the fixtures and fittings to the interior design. The monochrome theme is combined with softer neutral accents to layer up the spaces against the black and white backgrounds. This creates a calming atmosphere, while delivering striking contrasts and richness. This is a calm and restful interior that suits the location and the design of the home.”

Each Hayfield Wood home benefits from a room with sound-reducing insulation to create the perfect home office. All dwellings also feature fibre optic broadband, an electric car charging point and underfloor heating. A new woodland currently being planted by Hayfield will feature 4,755 native trees and shrubs, and the 16-acre scheme will also include a new community shop, café and wildflower meadow.

Hayfield Wood is located off Sams Lane in the old historic core of Broad Blunsdon, close to local amenities and schooling. A ‘handyman for a day’ is provided to all purchasers, and Hayfield’s exclusive Key Worker Discount of £5,000 is available to all those who are eligible.

The collection of homes features Hayfield’s luxurious specification, including bespoke Manor Interiors kitchens, ROCA and Laufen bathrooms, Minoli ceramic tiles, heritage bronze ironmongery, key lighting features and Farrow & Ball paint.

Hayfield Wood has been designed around an array of mature trees that are being retained and incorporated within the expansive development area. Meanwhile, the newly planted woodland will stretch to well over an acre, creating a natural landscape buffer with the neighbouring 13th Century St Leonard’s Church.

Broad Blunsdon lies six miles north of the centre of Swindon, with the A419 forming the village’s southern boundary. Following thorough analysis of the existing high-quality architectural vernacular, the selection of house designs has been constructed in a mix of red brick and reconstituted stone, taking inspiration from traditional properties in the village.

Hayfield Wood is open daily from 10am – 5pm, located off Sams Lane, Broad Blunsdon, Wiltshire, SN26 7AZ. For enquiries, please call 0800 161 5425, or email HayfieldWood@Hayfieldhomes.co.uk. Further details are available at www.hayfieldhomes.co.uk.
