The first reservations are being taken for the newly launched Hayfield Avenue scheme in the quintessential Cambridgeshire village of Great Gransden. With only 24 homes available for private sale, purchasers are securing their preferred homes at the off-plan stage.
Accessed off Sand Road, Hayfield Avenue comprises two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, influenced by the Arts and Crafts era. The off-plan prices for the first release range from £320,000 to £760,000 and a dedicated Sales Lounge has been created at multi award-winning housebuilder Hayfield’s development in Silsoe, Bedfordshire. A large to scale model of the new scheme is enabling interested parties to take a closer look at the site layout and various house designs.
Jane and Roy Bayliss will be relocating from East Sussex to move to a four-bedroom Harcourt home at Hayfield Avenue. Mrs Bayliss said: “Our son and two young grandchildren live in Cambridgeshire and we feel as if we’re missing out on playing a part in their daily lives being over 100 miles away.
“We had been looking to relocate for around six months before the launch of Hayfield Avenue. We had a wide search area, but it was the beauty of Great Gransden village and the community and sports facilities that really swayed us, as we enjoy playing tennis. We also found Hayfield’s quality to be very reassuring. We have lived in our current home for 38 years, so this is a big move for us, and it was important to select a housebuilder we could trust.”
Great Gransden benefits from a traditional village community and has been a previous winner of the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England’s Best Kept Village competition. It is highly sought-after due to its Outstanding schooling, local amenities, peaceful yet convenient location, collection of historic buildings and the Gransden & District Agricultural Society Annual Show. The recently renovated 17th Century Great Gransden Windmill is the oldest remaining post mill in England and is a scheduled monument. The village is well served by the two nearby towns of Cambourne and St Neots, the latter of which is the largest town in Cambridgeshire and offers a 47-minute direct train service to London’s Kings Cross station.
Kelly Sharman, Sales and Marketing Director of Hayfield said: “Hayfield Avenue’s beautiful architecture reflects the style of many of the traditional properties in this highly sought-after village. With each of the 24 houses having their individual character and setting, we would urge prospective purchasers to act quickly, so that they don’t miss out on securing their preferred new home.”
Construction work is progressing well at the 4.4-acre site, where a stunning linear route is being created through the development area, which has inspired its Hayfield Avenue name. There is a total of nine house styles, giving a wide choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. ‘Play Streets’ will be incorporated within the centre of the scheme, which will see the road surface designated as an area for cars and pedestrians to share.
Hayfield’s popular Part-Exchange scheme is available at Hayfield Avenue, which gives purchasers ultimate peace of mind and takes the financial risk away from selling their current home. It also enables purchasers to enjoy living in their current home until their new Hayfield house is ready, at which point they have the luxury of a week-long window to move.
The collection of brick and render homes will feature Hayfield’s luxurious specification, including bespoke Manor Interiors kitchens, ROCA Laufen bathrooms, Minoli ceramic tiles, underfloor heating, Hammonds fitted wardrobes, heritage bronze ironmongery and Farrow & Ball paint.
Great Gransden is a convenient location for commuting into Cambridge, Bedford, Stevenage and Peterborough and across East Anglia. The close by A428 provides excellent access to the A11 and M11 Motorway, the A1 and the A1/M1 link road, as well as the A14 and A10. The village also benefits from a bus service, which stops at numerous locations including Cambourne, St Neots and Cambridge.
Earlier this year, Hayfield secured an esteemed five-star customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF). In 2019, the company made history by becoming the first ever to be crowned Best Small Housebuilder in both the WhatHouse? and Housebuilder Awards. Hayfield also won Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative at the 2019 Housebuilder Awards, with the judges selecting the newcomer above numerous established PLCs. The company has also scooped three NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.
