Hayfield Appoints Sales Manager in Preparation for New Development Launches

June 27, 2022

Solihull-headquartered Hayfield has appointed Sarah Sargeant as a Sales Manager. Sarah will be responsible for managing the sales activity and staff across four of the multi-award-winning housebuilder’s developments in Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, and Worcestershire.

Hayfield specialises in constructing zero carbon ready family houses and bungalows. It has nine live sites -where over 400 new homes are currently under construction - in prime edge of town and semi-rural locations. The company is part-funded via investment from global investors and a rolling facility from OakNorth Bank, which has enabled the acquisition of a significant land bank. Hayfield’s turnover target for 2022 - its sixth year of trading - is £150m.

Ms Sargeant has been in the industry for over 20 years. She joins Hayfield from Connells Group, where she was a New Homes Area Sales Manager. Prior to that she was a Property Consultant for The Agents Property Consultants.

Sarah’s key responsibilities at Hayfield will include researching pricing strategies, managing development launches, working alongside the in-house marketing department, and recruiting, training, and motivating the onsite sales teams. Ms Sargeant’s appointment to Hayfield has enabled Harriet Dickson – who was formerly a Sales Manager – to become Head of Customer Care.

Shelley West, Regional Sales Director for Hayfield, said: “Despite the challenges brought about by the global pandemic, Hayfield has performed exceptionally well over the past few years and managed to double turnover to close to £100m in 2021. With energy prices continuing to rise, our zero carbon ready homes are in high demand across middle England.

“Over the next few weeks, we will be launching our second project in Hallow, Worcestershire, which will be the sister development to the hugely popular Hayfield Meadow scheme that was completed in 2019. Sarah’s knowledge of selling new homes in this region will be really valuable. Her considerable experience and expertise will be a fantastic asset to our growing team.”

Sarah Sargeant, Sales Manager for Hayfield, said: “I am delighted to be joining such a dynamic housebuilding business that puts the environment and its customers first. The investment that has been made in the brand, product design, and eco-efficient specification is paying dividends because house hunters aren’t just looking at the standard metrics, they want to buy a Hayfield. The future for this business is very exciting and I am so pleased to join the team.”

At the 2021 WhatHouse? Awards, held late last year, Hayfield was crowned the UK’s Best Housebuilder, having also scooped the Gold award for both Best Medium Housebuilder, and Best Public Realm. The company also won Best Family Home at the 2021 First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards.

Hayfield’s live sites include the Hayfield Place scheme in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, where the final phase of 105 premium homes is being delivered, close to English Heritage’s Grade I listed Wrest Park Estate. In the neighbouring village of Clophill, Hayfield Lakes has recently launched for off-plan sales, located next to a new 300-acre waterside nature reserve. Also in Bedfordshire is Hayfield Park, where 80 zero carbon ready homes are under construction.

In Buckinghamshire, the final phase of Hayfield Oaks in Woburn Sands is now under construction. Towards the north of the county, in the semi-rural village of Hanslope, 101 zero carbon ready homes are being delivered. In Wiltshire, the final phase of Hayfield Wood is under construction in the sought-after village of Broad Blunsdon.

New schemes to be launched soon are located in Hallow – Worcestershire, Little Kimble – Buckinghamshire, and in West Lavington – Wiltshire.
