Five-star homebuilder Hayfield has donated four brand-new laptops to Fulbrook Middle School in Woburn Sands, Buckinghamshire. The laptops are being used by families who previously only had access to a smartphone for home-schooling needs.
Located off Weathercock Lane, two miles from the newly launched Hayfield Oaks development, Fulbrook Middle School has over 400 pupils aged between 9 – 13 years old. While the majority of the families in the school community have access to a laptop for home-schooling needs, there have been more requests for laptop loans than the school has been able to fulfil. The four HP Windows 10 laptops that have been donated by Hayfield were specified by Mr Simon Thomas - Fulbrook’s Head of IT - ensuring full compatibility with the School’s existing suite of computers.
Maddie Robinson, Sales Manager for Hayfield said: “Many of us at Hayfield are parents to school-aged children and we are all too aware how essential it is for home-schooling pupils to have access to a laptop for submitting work and participating in live lessons. Having launched Hayfield Oaks to the market a few weeks ago, we reached out to Fulbrook Middle School – which is within our catchment area – to see if we could help.
“Engaging with and supporting schools and clubs within the local community is really important to us. We hope that these new laptops will make home learning easier for both the children and parents alike, as the circumstances of this third national lockdown are challenging enough as it is.”
Mrs Samantha Clancy, Headteacher at Fulbrook Middle School said: “Ensuring all our children are fully equipped for home-schooling has been a task on which the whole school community has been focused. Despite an extensive laptop loan scheme, there are still families who have been reliant on a smartphone or a tablet that does not have the full functionality required. We are tremendously grateful to Hayfield for this donation and it will mean the world to the children, who can now use these brand-new laptops to greatly enhance their home-learning experience.”
Although the Hayfield Oaks development is not currently open for public access, five sets of purchasers have already reserved a luxury four-bedroom detached home at the off-plan stage. A lot of the early interest in the scheme has been from people keen to take advantage of the close proximity to Woburn Sands train station, which is only half a mile away.
Set amongst mature trees, with architecture that has been influenced by the Arts and Crafts era, there is a total of 37 executive family homes available at the exclusive development, which is setting a new benchmark in luxury for the multi award-winning developer. The eight-acre scheme has been designed around a central play area with enhanced hard landscaping, conservation style block paving and an impressive feature entrance. Prices for the current release range from £610,000 to £885,000.
Hayfield currently has 554 new homes under construction on eight prime development sites in Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire.
