Hayfield Receives RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety Achievements

July 4, 2022

Hayfield has received a RoSPA Gold Award in the second year it has entered the internationally recognised scheme for high health and safety standards.

The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide. Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade.

Hayfield specialises in building high specification zero carbon ready homes and has nine live development sites located in prime locations in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire, where over 400 homes are currently in progress. The company has offices in Solihull and Milton Keynes.

Andy Morris, Managing Director of Hayfield said “Having the highest health and safety standards has been imperative to increasing the number of zero carbon ready homes we deliver year on year. It is also an integral part of our ESG strategy. To be recognised with a RoSPA Gold Award for outstanding safety management systems is testament to the commitment by our staff, contractors and customers to ensure everyone gets home safely to their families at the end of every working day.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work. By receiving this recognition, Hayfield joins like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to health and safety. I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that it has taken to secure this well-deserved award – congratulations to all those involved, who champion and drive-up health and safety standards every day. You are a fantastic example to others in your sector.”

Andy Green, Head of Health and Safety at Hayfield said: “The health and safety systems and protocols we have in place ensure our people want to come to work and enjoy working in a safe way. By keeping it simple and keeping it safe, we are protecting everyone that works at, visits, or indeed moves onto a Hayfield development.”

Last November, Hayfield was crowned the WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year, having also won Gold WhatHouse? accreditations for Best Medium Housebuilder and Best Public Realm. The company also won Best Family Home at the 2021 First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards, also held last autumn.
