Five-star, premium housebuilder Hayfield has opened its show home at Hayfield Crescent, a new zero-carbon ready development of 40 homes in Little Kimble, Buckinghamshire.
The new show home, the five-bedroom Hanwell house type, displays the quality available throughout the £21m development, which features a range of two-bedroom bungalows and three- and five-bedroom houses. The three-bedroom homes have been designed as the size of four-bedroom homes to maximise space and flexibility. 19 of the homes will be designated as local affordable housing, with the rest for open-market sale.
The sustainability factors fitted throughout the development are in line with Hayfield’s zero-carbon-ready design principles, which already exceed the government’s Future Homes Standard. These include air-source heat pumps, increased insulation, underfloor heating, water efficiency measures and electric vehicle charging points all fitted as standard.
The largest of the zero carbon ready homes available at Hayfield Crescent reaches 2,605 sq ft, but all will boast high-specification luxury – including Sonos sound systems and integrated Siemens appliances – and enhanced sound insulation in the dedicated office or smallest bedroom to suit working from home.
The principal bedroom in the Hanwell features a vaulted ceiling to accentuate space and light and has a dividing wall behind which is a set of bespoke fitted wardrobes for a boutique hotel feel. This leads to the impressive principal en suite, with a free-standing bath, dual basins and a large shower.
At Hayfield Crescent, Hayfield also becomes the UK’s first housebuilder to create a show home with a bespoke outdoor kitchen. The flow from indoor to outdoor is seamless thanks to matching floor tiling from Minoli, bringing the outdoor in, as customers are increasingly looking to achieve more from their garden areas. There are two distinct seating areas next to the barbeque, with the more informal of the two featuring a built-in fire pit. The modular kitchen itself features three fridges, a sink, plenty of storage space and is finished with a bespoke worktop by Cosentino.
Situated in between Aylesbury and Thame, the new development sits on the edge of The Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with the homes designed to reflect the landscape and the picturesque village setting. New homeowners can benefit from country living with easy commuter links to London and Oxford.
Andy Morris, managing director of Hayfield, said: “We take care in creating our 5-star rated homes but, as much as a brochure can help describe that, you can only feel the effort we pour into our homes when you experience one in person.
“As well as luxury, our customers are prioritising the environment more than ever before which is why we’ve built this fantastic show home – to show what premium, sustainable living can look like.”
Solihull-based Hayfield builds homes across the south of England and the Midlands. Earlier this year the Home Builders Federation announced that Hayfield had been awarded its top-rated five-star housebuilder status for customer satisfaction.
Hayfield is currently on site delivering more than 300 homes at eight developments across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire.
