Sustainability and luxury on show as Hayfield opens doors in Wiltshire

May 17, 2023

Five-star, premium housebuilder Hayfield has opened its show home at Hayfield Rise, a £21m, 50-home development of EPC A-rated luxury homes in the Wiltshire village of West Lavington.

The five-bedroom show home displays the quality and eco credentials of its EPC A-rated homes – which include solar PV panels, air source heat pumps, water efficiency measures, underfloor heating and electric vehicle charging points all fitted as standard.

Powered and heated by 100 per cent renewable electricity, homes at Hayfield Rise will be, on average, 25 per cent cheaper to run than a standard new build home, minimising their environmental impact.

These sustainability factors are in line with Hayfield’s zero-carbon-ready design principles, which already exceed the government’s Future Homes Standard – a level of specification that will be mandatory for housebuilders to meet from 2025. Just two per cent of new homes in the UK currently achieve the prestigious EPC A-rating, which is seen as the gold standard of energy-efficient living.

The thoughtfully designed Hayfield Rise will feature 11 different light and spacious home designs, from two-bedroom bungalows to five-bedroom houses. Every home will have private gardens and parking, while smaller bedrooms and dedicated studies include enhanced sound-reducing features to support home working.

Situated close to the historic market town of Devizes, Hayfield Rise is set amongst stunning countryside, with excellent travel connections to Swindon, Salisbury, Bristol and beyond, and within easy reach of schools, shops and more.

Andy Morris, managing director of Hayfield, said: “We are committed to creating truly exceptional homes of character that meet the highest standards of energy efficiency. Hayfield Rise has been thoughtfully designed to achieve that and complement the history and architectural heritage of the area.

“We’re creating EPC A-rated homes that are fit for the future; packed with innovative sustainable technologies that support green communities and low-impact living. We’re looking forward to welcoming prospective buyers to our newly opened show home, so they can experience our team’s innovative, low-carbon, 5-star quality work up close.”

Solihull-based Hayfield builds homes across the south of England and the Midlands. Earlier this year the Home Builders Federation announced that Hayfield had been awarded its top-rated five-star housebuilder status.

Hayfield is currently on site delivering more than 300 homes at eight developments across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire.
